Adult Services Mission Statement
We are committed to assisting low income, frail, elderly and disabled adults of Frederick County in achieving economic self support; preventing abuse, neglect or exploitation; preventing unnecessary institutionalization and maintaining self sufficiency in the least restrictive setting.
Aides Perform
- Personal Care under the supervision of a nurse
- Teach how to cope with one's disability
- Meal preparation
- Budgeting
- Shop for food
- Light chores: vacuuming, laundry, mopping
- Transporting: escort for banking, shopping, medical
- Companionship
- Teach caretakers
Who Might Use In-Home Aide Services?
Adults who are dealing with illness or other incapacity. - Adults who need assistance such as: health care, adults day care, meals on wheels, respite care and/or other supportive services. - Families who need services when they are unable to cope with the care taking demands of a loved one's illness.
